All architects and designers around the world use professional computer programs to visualise their ideas (AutoCAD, ArchiCAD, 3ds Max, Google SketchUp, Adobe InDesign, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, CorelDraw and so on).
You will learn about one of the most significant factors influencing the use of architectural polychromy - modern colour culture (avant-garde art).
The two days course consist of lectures and practical excercises using computer modeling.
Suitable for: Architects, designers and anyone who wants to learn about colour using digital modelling.
COURSE CONTENT:
- colour in modern architecture and digital modelling;
- formalisation of artists paintings using digital modelling; analysis of colour harmony, colour combination theory, construction of colour masses and creation of colour palettes using NCS Digital Palettes and NCS Navigator. (Computer programs used: Adobe Photoshop, CorelDraw or Adobe Illustrator);
- making a colour concept for interior design using created colour palettes inspired by the painters and artwork studied in the previous task;
- colour space perception and its influence on shape; perform several experimental tasks in 3D. (Computer programs used: 3ds Max, AutoCAD, Google SketchUpAdobe Photoshop, CorelDraw or Adobe Illustrator).
The course is based on the assumption that participants are working on their own computers with any of the following programs; such as Adobe Photoshop, CorelDRAW, or Adobe Illustrator. It is an advantage if you also have 3Ds Max, Google SketchUp, AutoCAD or another 3D program but it's not a requirement.
