PPG COMPETITION

This January NCS welcomed the five winners from PPG's Design Colour competition, organised by PPG Deco Poland in collaboration with NCS. The competition was open to designers, students, architects and anyone else interested in colour in design.

The competition was held on a specially developed website which showcased all of the projects and proposals from the entrants. Each entrant was invited to submit up to three different projects featuring colour scheme and colour combination proposals detailing the reasoning behind the colours chosen, with each one based on NCS' colours.

The five finalists were chosen by members of the public who voted for their favorites online and each of them joined us here in Stockholm for a special experience at our NCS Colour Academy. All of the submitted projects were of a very high standard, displaying wonderfully deft colour use but the five who stood out most were Aleksandra Gajzler and her tactile Ice Cream Saloon, the burst of colour of "Train" to Fairy Tales by Ilona Jakubuwska, the classy Sport Hall Interior of Bartlomiej Zaboj, Magdalena Sicha's subtle Living Room and the bold architecture of Small Building of Local Kindergarden by Dagmara Mejer.

While the project is in Polish, here is a direct link to the gallery of all entrants and their fantastic NCS-inspired colour designs http://www.projektancikoloru.pl/galeria
